Fekerte's Ethiopian Cuisine, established in Canberra in 1994, offers a selection of Ethiopian food based on Fekerte's favourite recipes. In 2004, after a decade of providing Ethiopian food to the Canberra community at markets, festivals and catering functions, Fekerte decided to make her unique menu available in a restaurant setting.
The authentic, distinctive flavours and delicious aromas of each dish, which are created using a mixture of traditional spices not commonly found in the West, have quickly become appreciated both locally and abroad (see reviews). Today, Fekerte's continues to offer a traditional dining experience in a modern venue, and we hope that you will find Ethiopian food a truly different, exciting, and repeatable experience.
